Byram has always made a concerted effort to minimize the impact of our operations in the communities where we do business. In addition to including our commitment to comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulation, our Environmental Policy also recognizes that reducing the environmental impact of our operations is an important part of the value we deliver to our customers and an important obligation to our communities. We remain fully committed to achieving environmental excellence guided by the principles of pollution prevention, energy conservation and continuous improvement.
We also have a long history of providing the foundation for successful community projects. Among the notable projects the Company has helped build over the years are the 9/11 Memorial in Valhalla, NY, the Rye Reading Room in Rye, NY and the Gold Star Mothers Monument in Carmel, NY. We have supported the Putnam County Veterans Association and many other non-profit organizations in Westchester and Putnam counties.
